Thanks very much for your reply. Unfortunately for me I have a limited window of opportunity to pay my respects at Camp Scott. I was born and raised here in Tulsa and attended Camp Garland from 1975 to 1978. I moved away in 1995 but I am back in Oklahoma for one year to attend school then I have to leave again (in August). I have been interested in this case since it happened and feel a certain connection to the tragedy through my attendance at Camp Garland during that time. I talked personally with the tenant over the weekend who was a very nice person. In the past I have left two or three messages with the landlord but they have not been returned so I have given up on that. I was hoping that if a group formed to visit the site before I left in August that might be my only opportunity. If anyone else would like to go and thinks they might have any success at getting approval from the landlord, I will do what I can to help and will definitely participate on any weekend. Thanks to everyone here who posts information, pictures, etc. I have read every post on this board and others, I have read the book several times, and I have an appreciation for the efforts people make in order that people won't simply forget what happened over there.
So, yes, if anyone would be interested in perhaps trying to visit Camp Scott around the anniversary of the event, June 13, or any time before August, please post here on the board. Thanks! Michael
