Still no word on when filming will begin or how in the world he plans to pay for production, so no real update. lol Of course he'll have to film Majestic first since that cast is still waiting on when filming will begin with that movie. *** Now he says the Majestic filming will be delayed to film Candles. I bet that cast is happy they went through casting first just to suddenly be put to the back. lol ***

Here is the cast listing though. Since he doesn't even put one of these out on the internet I thought I'd help him out. All names spelled wrong are his spellings, so I just left them from the cut and paste.

Funny how his rant is 90% about Ottawa County officials he won't name and then his cast is 90% Girl Scout related names and some make-believe ones to fill in as needed.

Sad most of these people probably believe they are fighting for the truth, when in reality they haven't even been told what that truth is at all.

One character name is all I need to see to know that this scam artist won't get this made. Crying Wolf was a creation of the Wilkerson bros. They made up the name to hide the identity of the supposed medicine man in their book. Anyone really think the Wilkersons will let some two-bit scam artist use their creation to help refute their own claims? That's quite a cast of actors who read for all those roles at what, $20 a pop for headshots? Yeah, he's just tryin to help dem girls.

I hope you're not expecting him to pull some internet link out for the name of an Indian medicine man from 1977. lol I bet you'd have to be Native American (or someone very trusted) and talk to people around Mayes/Cherokee County to find that out.

Hyde, searchagain has been around this board from the beginning. He's a very knowledgeable person on the case. Like the rest of the board, he's been after the truth and closure on this case since back when Penn was just sitting around making up a story.

Think about it though, I wonder where Penn got that name?? lol Kinda proves he just went through the book. He sure didn't know a damn thing about the case when I talked to him. He didn't even have the script finished then. Has he even finished the script yet??? Casting for two movies (the free part for him) and hasn't even set a day to start filming either??? Of course you can't start filming until you finish the script. Has anyone read it? lol

Is anyone on this cast asking him if he has the money to pay almost 250 members of a cast? Even if they only make $600 each for the whole thing that would be $150,000 just in the casting budget! What's his casting budget? How's he going to get that much money???

It won't be the OSBI or the OK Film Commission that stops this film, it will be Penn's own lack of knowledge -- of both this case and the film industry. He made claims that he doesn't have the facts to back up. We're still waiting on him to even have the balls to admit he's accusing Karl Lee Myers.

Ask him if he has a script finished and see what he tells you. I know what he told my sources. He doesn't.
You're one of his best supporters on the Candles page surely he'll tell you if the script is finished and how he plans to finance the films.

Well he won't even tell you the names of the people he plans to accuse to maybe not! lol Don't ask him too many times, he might get upset.

Some of those names listed as the cast sure look familiar!

I just kind of wonder about whether anyone of Myers family is considering a lawsuit. He has never been connected with the killings and suspect will never. If a woman can sue McDonalds for her stupidity in putting a cup of hot coffee between her legs and getting scalded, I think a lawsuit in this case would be feasible.

Also, Cara Wilhite has been a guest on this site. Does anyone know what she thinks about this or is she even aware of plan of this movie since she is one of the characters?

Its weird that they are filming a trailer today. Seems out of order, every trailer ive seen is clips of an already filmed movie and they havent filmed a single scene yet as i understand it. I really think its all smoke, people read that and get excited, they feel like progress is being made. The more i read on that fb page the more this whole thing seems like a scam, i dont think this movie will ever be made. If im right its a real shame cause its obvious to me that some of the people there are good people and care about the truth and the families.

He's filming the trailer first because he doesn't have the script finished and he needs money. He'll try to piece together a trailer, then hit up investors(suckers) for CASH. All before he even has the script finished.

Yes, that's messed up. That's John Russell Penn.

But the Candles "family" is fighting for the truth. Yeah, right.

I think you'll have to wait and see about that.

Penn has a history of running scams, he doesn't have the facts he says he has about the case, he sure can't solve the crime with that film, he's accusing the wrong person, he doesn't have a script even completed, he doesn't have the money to make the movie, he's trying to film a trailer on less than 24 hours notice with random girls instead of getting the three he has cast for the roles...But is it fake?? I guess that's up to you. It sure does have an awful lot of fake elements. Judging by his history of ripping people off, I think everyone should be wary.

I welcome you to ask all the questions you can both here and to John Russell Penn. See which one is open and honest and which one gets angry and tells you to quit asking so many questions or just blocks you. Anything you ask here will not be deleted. I know that's not the case with the Candles page.

Looks like some people have gotten smart and left the cast. Recasting three people INCLUDING the guy playing KARL LEE MYERS. Who would want that role????? If he WAS the killer it would be bad enough. To be the face of a false accusation would make it even worse.

Says 14 more roles. Funny how almost all these roles are Girl Scout related, yet his rant about why he wants to make the movie was almost all about Ottawa County. And John Russell Penn still hasn't had the balls to name any of the names he plans to accuse.

Sad some of these people think they are making a movie for "a good cause" when its just more misinformation this case does not need at all.
